Nintendo Is Finally Giving A Xenoblade Chronicles Game The Switch 2 Treatment

Ever since Nintendo began releasing upgrades of its first-party Switch titles for Switch 2, fans have been clamoring for refreshed editions of the Xenoblade Chronicles games on the new console. And the company seems to be aware of the demand, shadowdropping a Switch 2 version for Xenoblade Chronicles X on the eShop today.The clumsily titled Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition -- Nintendo Switch 2 Edition sports a framerate of "up to 60fps" on TV and handheld modes, with a max 4K resolution docked and 1080p undocked. It's available for digital purchase now, while a physical release will hit stores on April 16. The upgrade pack for players with the original Switch game costs $5, with the full Switch 2 game retailing for $65.Xenoblade Chronicles X has a vastly different setting than the three numbered Xenoblade games, depicting a sci-fi universe with aliens, mechs, and dinosaur-like wildlife.
